Busy

I keep meaning to blog, but feel overwhelmed with what I need to blog about.  The past 20 or so days have been jam-packed with fun.  Here is what we have been up to:

  1. I turned 29.  Yikes.  To celebrate I went to lunch and shopping with my MIL and SIL and went to dinner with my little family.  I didn't cook all day, it was awesome.  Griffin celebrated my birthday by getting the flu and then giving it to Leo and I a few days later.  I seriously thought I had food poisoning and asked Heavenly Father several times if I could die.
  2. Leo cut another tooth and is working on 10 more.  That kids' mouth is so swollen.
  3. Griffin learned how to write his name and it is the cutest thing ever.
  4. Keith had LASIK again.  He got an infection in one eye and so they had to scrape it again.  This happens like 1 in 100,000 patients.  Aren't we lucky?
  5. We went to San Diego for Thanksgiving.  It was so stinkin' fun.  I want to go back.  Now.
  6. We are decked out in Christmas cheer around here.  Anyone want to get Benson an IPAD for Christmas because that is what he wants?!  Seriously child, you are 5.
  7. Lots of singing.  Griffin sang essentially the entire 10 hours in the giant van we rented to San Diego.  I know everyone else in the car really appreciated it.  Keith is teaching the boys' some songs to sing for Grandma at Christmas.  And I of course sing songs from The Forgotten Carols every day and cry like a baby.
  8. We all visited the dentist.  I had not been in an obscene amount of time.  I had one cavity and was again reminded why I avoid the dentist.  Keith said he would rather have his eyeballs scraped out again before going back.  Benson had a tiny tiny cavity and had it filled in .2 seconds without being numbed.  What a champ.  Griffin was cavity free-and will need a straight jacket when we go back.
  9. In San Diego, we visited the beach, SeaWorld (my fav), LegoLand, the Mormom Battalion Museum (where I taught the missionaries how to do sweet braids in their hair), and we laughed a lot.  We went to a ghetto buffet for Thanksgiving where we witnessed a girl wearing white underwear under a a see-through knit sweater with no pants on, a nipple (you read that right), and a man with no teeth wearing a hat that said "Jesus is my homeboy."  At said dinner, all three of my children spilled their entire drink and Griffin did a poop in the toilet that was two feet long.  Those are just some of the highlights.
  10. Not one ounce of Christmas shopping.  This is generally true of me.  Keith and I like to get a babysitter one night and get it all done in one trip, have I mentioned my husband loves to shop?  Anyone have a coupon for a free ipad?
I love this time of year except for when I put off taking Christmas pictures and then you realize the highest the temperature is going to get all week is 20.  Woops.  We will still send out a card-leave me your address if you want one!
